“Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The views are to die for the walks and coast fantastic. I don’t want to leave!”

“BRILLIANT VIEW!!! Lovely beach, perfect for early morning swims. The house is a great environment and felt homely all week. We may find ourselves down these parts again.”

“I love this house. I have been coming here for 19 years and intend to keep coming. Thank you for sharing this delightful place.”

“The views from this house are spectacular. We’re definitely going to miss that everyday. Loads of beautiful beaches nearby – the favourite had to be Sennen Cove with fish and chips watching the sunset (a must if you can do it!). Our garden visitors were amazing especially the fox family who appeared each day between 4pm and 6pm from the hole in the hedge outside the sun room.”

“Saw a pod of dolphins for the first time ever in a magical stay.”

“Lovely House in a fantastic position with wonderful views. Always something to watch. Ships at sea. With no light interference the stars at night are brilliant. I have not seen the Milky Way so clearly for years. We have been visited by badgers and a fox – rabbits everywhere, hawks, gannets diving into the sea for fish and many species of butterfly. There is very good fishing to be had off Minack Rock – my son and grandson caught 12 mackerel one evening. A wonderful week at Vessacks. We would love to come again. Thank you for the flowers.”

“I think this is the eighth time we’ve stayed here, first time being in the late 1980’s! We first came with friends before we were married, then with children; this latest trip without our eldest who’s off working away this year, and no grandparents this time. But a full two whole weeks in August, not just a spring week. Fantastic weather for the first few days, then the hurricane Bettina came through – fortunately overnight. Lots of cliff walks, ice creams and pasties. Lovely swimming when it wasn’t too rough, not as much send this year. Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Minack was amazing, full moon and lightning appeared at the right time . Fox, rabbits, buzzards and bats all appeared plus dolphins in the cove on our last day. And lots of time sent enjoying the views and watching the boats go by – we hope to be back another time – a great time had by all”

“Manx shearwaters, whitethroats, kittiwakes, baby kestrels in cliff nest. A colony of seals and pups, peregrine falcons and foxes (which we did not feed). We had four days of heat wave followed by two days of dramatic swells where the fishermen couldn’t go out. Minack in moonlight was a delightful walk away. Lots of rosé wine . Cozy, airy, well-equipped house with breathtaking views. I painted every day! We all want to come again please.”

“We had a fantastic week here. It was marvellous to se Mrs. Fox and Mrs. Badger at close quarters. Love the kitchen and the breakfast room. We went to the Smart surfing school in Sennen. We were all novices and we had the best time. The instructors there are British champions and couldn’t be better – we are all hooked now. We enjoyed the Logan Rock Inn and a walk to Land’s End. Thank you for letting us stay in your fabulous home.”

“It was our first holiday in England/Cornwall and hopefully not our last. We really enjoyed the stunning views and the great beach, especially the waves! Due to the location of the house, we could admire the gigantic starry sky. Thank you Vessacks for a very good time! Love from your German visitors.”

“We have had a wonderful family holiday! Walked to Lands End and Logan’s Rock, went to the Minack for the children’s theatre show for Ellis’s 1st birthday treat! The sun has been out, there are a few pink faces in our group! 3 of us swam in the sea with NO wetsuits HARDCORE.”

“Location. Location, Location. Back for a second visit and we have booked a third while here. We have remarked that just being here induces us to walk so much more than we often do; and it is such a delight to be on the coastal path within moments of leaving the house… yet enjoy such privacy. Thank you.”

“Another fabulous holiday. Sun, sea, wind, rain. Everything you would want. Be back soon”

“What fantastic weather! We had a wonderful time playing on the beach, visiting gardens and enjoying the weather. Fish and chips on the beach at Sennen was a highlight.”

“What a wonderful week! Started with a wedding at St Levan followed by gatherings of friends and family, and ended with a re-enactment of the first page of the “Salt Path”. Glorious walks, games, dinners, swimming, cream teas at St Levan Church and unexpectedly finding Kate Tate on the top of a double decker bus. Our only wish is the time machine to start it all over again. Love the new look! It reflects the simple infinity of wind, sand and waves outside.”

“An amazing holiday in a beautiful house and location. Spectacular views in such a wonderful county.”

“We have all fallen in love with your incredible house. It has been a privilege to stay here for a special birthday celebration and God willing we will be back.”

“A wonderful view, lots of space, lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds. Until next time!”

“A fabulous week. Great weather for most of the time with amazing views in daytime and at night with a full moon. We came here in 1985 (or ’86) and have been back a dozen times with friends and family. We spent most of our time in the sunroom with telescope and binoculars. Love the decor and the new beds and bathrooms and of course the beautiful views. We will be back!”

“In all honesty I’m reluctant to leave such an honest review as this beautiful house feels a bit like a secret that we’ve been lucky enough to borrow and the more that people know about it, the less chance we will have of being lucky enough to revisit it! However. The setting is incredible, the views take your breath away, if like us you have a thing about the sea you will never want to leave. Gorgeous comfortable beds and luxury bedding, kitchen fully equipped with everything you could possible require. Beautifully fitted bathrooms. The children had a sitting room each and there were still two incredible spaces for the grown ups to relax in, the favourite being the little sun room with ever present sea views. Sunrise and sunset from here was amazing. The large utility room was perfect for post surf showers and drying wetsuits and towels. We were so lucky with the sunshine every day and explored the local area. It’s within easy walking distance of the Minack theatre and we also ventured further along the coastal path to Logan Rock and Lands end on the other direction. The Telegraph Museum was fantastic – if you get a chance, try and catch one of the talks there. There is a great pub at Logan Rock. Food was wonderful and a proper log fire! Cozy place for warming up after a brisk walk along the coast. We went surfing in Sennen (lessons with the Smart surf school), and drove to Lizard Point and Kynance Cove and St Michael’s Mount – all spectacular places to visit. All in all we have thoroughly enjoyed our week exploring this distant point of Cornwall and would happily return again. There is still so much to see and do and the house cannot be faulted. Location Location Location… for anyone with the urge to feel like they are on the edge of the world with nothing in front but sea sea sea…”
